The Kennett Square Police Department recognizes the importance of having a strong bond with the community it serves. The approach we strive to use is a Community Oriented Policing approach which puts the unique needs of the Kennett Square community at the center of our everyday activities in order to create a specialized operating approach. Additionally, the Kennett Square Police Department works with the Kennett Area School District, the Juvenile Probation Office, the Chester County District Attorney’s Office, and the Garage Youth Center to continually improve our relations with the youth population of the borough. Our agency has a high school and a kindergarten center as well as a youth center and preschool within the Borough. We have a dedicated school resource officer who works in the high school and kindergarten center to protect our children. You will frequently find our officers at after school activies in various functions throughout the Borough as well.
